Textra SMS 4.71

The SMS feature can become boring after a while. After all, people often chose to keep their data connection on at all times and communicate through their favorite messaging programs. The poor default SMS app needs a facelift. Here's where Textra SMS comes in.

Textra SMS can take over the SMS functions of the default app and looking as it does, it can quickly make you forget that you're using this almost ancient method of messaging. As far as functionality goes, Textra can request delivery reports, strip special characters to make the message size smaller, automatically split longer messages in case of delivery failure or switch to MMS if the message becomes too long.

As for MMS, Textra can compress image files and do the other things (except going to the Moon). Moreover, there are plenty of other options that customize notifications, signatures and other ergonomic factors. What I really like is the way in which you can edit how the interface looks. You get to chose from an array of gradients the colors for the interface and message blurbs. Textra inherits contact pictures and also shows up on a linked smartwatch.

I can't find a bad thing to say about Textra SMS. It works rather well and it enriches the SMS experience. Something for what I feel honestly thankful.
